  One of the challenges of learning ASL on your own is wondering, “Am I doing this sign correctly?”

  That’s why this special October training combines online learning with five live coaching sessions.

  Work through your online lessons, practice what you’re learning, and then join us live to ask questions, review concepts, and practice your developing ASL skills in a supportive environment.

Can’t attend a live meeting? Replays will be available, so you can go back and review each session.

For the best results, plan for approximately 30 minutes of practice each day.

What Will I Be Able to Do After 5 Weeks?

By the end of ASL for Teachers Training, you’ll have a stronger understanding of basic American Sign Language and a foundation you can continue building on.

You’ll be able to use basic vocabulary, fingerspelling, numbers, facial expressions, and ASL sentence structures while communicating at a fundamental level.

You’ll also leave with resources and practice strategies you can continue using after the five-week training ends.

Course Format

This training combines online learning with an interactive group experience.

No books are required. You’ll need internet access to watch the online lessons and the ability to download the weekly PDFs and practice materials.

Plan for approximately 30 minutes of daily practice to reinforce what you’re learning.

Cynthia brings decades of experience in education and American Sign Language to the training and is passionate about helping educators and families feel more comfortable and confident using ASL.
