The document reviews the requirements for schools to ensure that students with hearing loss have communication that is as effective as peers. It further provides specific recommendations for ways in which the level of access, or communication effectiveness, can be assessed for students who are auditory learners and those who are visual learners, along with students who have expressive communication issues.
