2019 Supporting Success Virtual Conference
Supporting Success is pleased to make available a rich educational event, with activities and discussion engagement opportunities, to enhance the practice of supporting the success of students with hearing loss in the US and internationally. The sessions were video-recorded in a conference setting, so you will feel involved and engaged as a conference participant. Each session will have one or more activity or discussion elements to engage participants and enhance implementation of concepts.
Sessions: Full Conference = five 90-minute sessions and one 120-minute session. You can also register for only 2, 3, or 4 sessions that you prefer.(no other session combinations).
Virtual Conference Time Frame: January 13 – March 2.
Each session will be able to view any time during the 6-week virtual conference. You can view the sessions 24/7 via an internet connection during the Virtual Conference period. See the 2019 Virtual Conference Schedule linked below for details on dates, discussion boards, and the Q & A sessions.
Discussion Opportunities: Discussion boards will be open throughout the view time of each topic, ending in a live Q&A session with the presenter. Participants can post comments and questions for interactive participant discussion. The Q&A sessions will be recorded and posted for review by interested registrants.
View Individually or with Your Group: Each viewer must be a registered conference participant. The sessions are viewed via an internet connection by individuals or as a group. All sessions are captioned. Advantages for Groups! Deep registration discounts are available for purchase of group viewer logins. View together or from individual locations, followed by your discussion. Sessions can be paused at any time for group discussion. You can choose all or which sessions to watch as a group and which sessions to be watched individually. Half-conference options are available if you cannot view all 6 sessions. Great topics by three speakers provided at a price much cheaper than hiring speakers to come to you for two days!
Up to 10 CEUs are Available: After viewing a session, each individual must login to take a 3-question quiz. You have two opportunities to pass (2 of 3 correct). Those passing will receive one CEU Certificate of Participation for each session, verifying up to 10 clock hours of professional development.
LSLS CEUs and an ASHA Verification of Attendance sheet will also be available. In addition, CEUs for educational interpreters via RID are being arranged, as are CEU credits for CTLE (New York), SHECH (Michigan), and Illinois. The above CEUs are being arranged and are not guaranteed to be provided as yet. Individuals who attend the full Virtual Conference (6 sessions + activities) are eligible to register for 1 graduate credit through Minot State University for $50.00.
